Who Must Complete a Bowhunter Education Course?

To hunt big game with archery equipment, these persons must complete a bowhunter education course:

• All big game archery licensees under the age of 16
• All first-time big game archery licensees, regardless of age
• All elk archery licensees

Anyone required to complete a bowhunter education course must carry their certificate of completion and proper identification with them while they are hunting. Proper identification includes a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID card.
