Course Outline

Remember the following when practicing with your archery equipment.

  • Target distance from the shooter is typically 20–30 yards.
  • Utilize a safe, solid backstop, such as a high dirt bank, behind the target.
  • If using a crossbow, protect your eyes by wearing shooting glasses while you are cocking, loading, and shooting.
  • Be sure to check local ordinances before setting up a backyard range.
