Course Outline

As hunters, we have an obligation to make sure we only take shots that have a high probability of resulting in a quick, humane kill and the best chance to recover the animal.

Today’s bows and crossbows are very accurate—particularly crossbows, which are capable of consistent shots at long distances. However, responsible bowhunters still limit themselves to shots within 35 yards, as they know that the chance of wounding or not recovering an animal increases as the distance increases.
