Reporting Violations
To report a hunting violation, call the Iowa Turn In Poachers (TIP) hotline at 1-800-532-2020. If you contact the TIP hotline, you may remain anonymous and may receive a reward if your information leads to the arrest of a violator.
Providing as much information as you can about the violation and violator helps natural resources law enforcement officers protect wildlife and stop poaching.
If possible, record and report the date and time of the violation, the location, the name of the violator (if known), a description of the violator, the species involved, a description of the vehicle, the vehicle’s license plate number, and an explanation of the violation.
You also may submit a report using the online TIP form. Using the online TIP form is not anonymous. However, your identity is confidential, and it is only available to law enforcement officers.
